- Scripture Deuteronomy 1:1, 3, 5-8
- Date Sunday, 30 November 2014
The Israelites were camped as God had instructed. They were waiting to move into the promised land. So, comes the time and God's voice: "Resume your journey." So often, a person might travel through life and stop to rest someplace. We need to rest. However, we must never crawl into our comfort zone and vow to remain there forever. That's different than a rest. Our journey in life and our spiritual journey must always be moving forward. When a rest comes, that's OK. But, don't let it become permanent. There comes a time, often too quickly, for each of us to resume our journey.
So, ask yourself now: how long have I been 'here'? Is this healthy for my spiritual maturity? Am I still sucking on the bottle when I need to advance to hard foods?
Maybe it is time for you to "resume your journey." Onward!
